Hi all,
I have a problem. When customer dial "8", it will access the voice gateway. It also delete replace "8" by "20" sent to voice gateway. The problem is customer can't get dial tone when dialing '8'.

hi sir,
unless call comes from dial-peer pots without direct-inward dial and u dial 8 from an external system yes, otherwise we need CME, to provide it

The secondary dialtone is usually provided by the serving switch, which is this case would be the PABX. How is the PABX routing the call? Usually, the PABX will collect all the digits before sending the call out a trunk. If that's the case, the PABX is still holding the call when the caller should be hearing the secondary dialtone.

Dial tone will be provided with CUCM or CME or UC500
or by going offhook if u dont have 3 above GW cannot provide dialtone by entering a digit

The following is my VOIP connection. is it possible to get second dial tone in the customer ?
customer --- pabx ---- router HK---- ip --- router SZ --- pabx --- customer
