I have an issue occuring that I've not saw before.

I have a Global NAT configured. I have a single host that continues to display with 2 translation (both the same). the translation is correct, but I cannot communicate with the box. what happens is this.

1. I clear the xlate

2. the xlate is dynamically assigned (within a few seconds of clearing)

3. I ping the server and get a response during the first ping, and then all subsequent pings (2 - 4) are dropped, with destination NET unreachable...

any thoughts.

Bruce,

There is not enough information to answer your question.

Pls. provide the following:

sh run nat

sh run global

sh xlate debug | i x.x.x.x

where x.x.x.x is the server's ip address.

topology:

pls. provide a simple topology.

where are you trying to ping the server from - from a host outside the firewall?
