How to enable SSL VPN License

Dear all,

We had purchase SSL VPN License.

Could some one push me in right direction, how to install SSL VPN License in ASA5550.

Use the following website if you are a registered user of Cisco.com:

Use the following website if you are not a registered user of Cisco.com:

http://www.cisco.com/go/license/public

Enter the following information, when prompted:

Your Product Authorization Key

The serial number of your security appliance.

Your email address.

The activation key will be automatically generated and sent to the email address that you provide.

To enter the activation key, enter the following command:

hostname(config)# activation-key key

This example shows how to change the activation key on the security appliance:

hostname(config)# activation-key 0xe02888da 0x4ba7bed6 0xf1c123ae 0xffd8624e

If you are already in multiple context mode, enter this command in the system execution space.

Before entering the activation key, ensure that the image in Flash memory and the running image are the

same. You can do this by rebooting the security appliance before entering the new activation key.

Is the same Cisco ASA 3DES/AES License , what I am looking for SSL VPN. please confirm.

In addition, I got new activation key.

Just I will enable after your reply.

I don't known your purchasing license which has included 3DES/AES or NOT.

However cisco is "*FREE* Register for ASA 3DES/AES IPSec software feature keys"

You can upgraded you purchasing license first and "show version" check it

If 3DES/AES feature set do not support, You can go to following web site to "Product License Registration".

http://www.cisco.com/go/license or http://www.cisco.com/go/license/public

step 1: click the "here for available licenses" to select the product

step 2: click the "Cisco ASA 3DES/AES License" under the Security Products to fill the infomation such as ASA5500 serial number

The other new activation key will send to you via email.

Hi,

I followed the procedure, and could not able to find other than "Cisco ASA 3DES/AES License", so, I conclude to goahead. please tell me, how I can enable on active/standby mode.

Note: cisco send both new activation keys.
