Export devices out of LMS 2.6 as a CSV file and then import into LMS 3.1

I have LMS 2.6 on Solaris which is our primary CW server. We have LMS 3.1 installed on another server which is our backup server. Can I perform an export of devices into a CSV file and then use that CSV to import into LMS 3.1 server. Is the CSV format different in LMS 3.1?

They export in two different formats. (see attachments' header info). However, 3.x may well be able to handle the 2.x csv just fine.

So LMS 2.6 is 2.0 format and LMS 3.1 is 3.0 format. So an import may not work?

They *export* in different formats. However, 3.x may be engineered to *import* 2.x just fine. (I'd actually expect it to do so.) Give it a try. What's there to lose?
