I have a customer who has installed a 6400 switch and has a number of printers attached to the network. Occassionally he is not able to print to the printers, but he is able to ping the devices and access the web pages of the printers. The printers network cards were initialy set to Auto, but we recently hard set speed of the printers network cards to 100 / full duplex. This change did not correct the problem. Are there settings onm the 6400 that we should change?

This problem (align, fcs) are typically caused by a bad NIC/cable or speed/duplex mismatches. Make sure that the devices connected to the ports with these errors have their speed/duplex set the same as the switch. When hard coding this it has to be done on both the switch and the connecting device.
Still you are getting the problem then upgrade it.
And ensure this be a problem with communication between the print server and the printers?

Besides changing the speed or duplex type, nothing you can change on the switch, it's usually a printer usually.
How about checking the printers and their nics, if under warranty.
