Hi,
I've joined a company and in their visio diagrams they represent a multilayer switch as the icon I have attached. Can someone please tell me where this came from and what's the new icon to replace this, if any exists. This icon we use currently represents a 6509 switch.
Thanks
Dan

Hello Dan,
this visio comes from the CCO library set and is a well-known icon for a multilayer switch. (not C6500 specific)
At least I'm used to it and I don't see anything wrong it is a good icon for logical diagrams.

Hi,
Thanks for the info. However I had downloaded the recent visio icons from the cisco website at
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/prod_visio_icon_list.html
and looking in them I can't find this icon, which makes me think it's redundant. Any thoughts on this?
Thanks
Dan

Hi Dan,
The stencil you are looking for is not a Visio icon. The Visio version is called Route switch processor.

Ahh great.
Thanks for that, just for my reference where would you find this icon if it isn't a visio icon?
Thanks
