Hello folks, I'm trying to configure a 2801 with WIC-1AM-V2 for out of band management using pots line. I need a little guidance.
Thanks, in advanced.

Hello Joseph,
if you want to implement an out of band management for emergency to be used only when needed you need to use dial on demand routing.
you can find the basis of DDR in 12.4 dial config guide
for the WIC-1AM-V2 it has a built-in analog POTS modem
follow the following document
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/12_3t/12_3t14/feature/guide/gt12pwi8.html#wp1053415
as you can see from router point of view it is seen as an interface Asynch.
you will use a separate address plan for out of band management so that the device can be reached = called or it can call the NOC center
a floating static route completes this scenario using PPP authentication and call screening (specifying the calling number that can be accepted)
Hope to help

Just an opinion but to be truely OOB I like to use eternal modems.
