Reconnect the cable or replace it with a new one.

What's connected to the switch port?

Hello Jayesh,

first of all you need to understand why the port is placed in error-disable state.

You can use sh log to see last events related to that port or simply

term mon

int type x/y

shut

no shut

you should see the reason.

among possible reasons:

spanning-tree bpduguard

port security

receiving not correct STP information on a trunk port

Hope to help

Giuseppe's right. It is worthwhile to know WHY the port goes into repeatitive error-disable. Use the command sh intertace status err will give you a brief explanation.

Hope this helps.
