Does it make any difference do 'originate' vs 'originate always' on this?

Hi, can someone clarify if for this specific scenario I should use 'always' when doing default origination?

Does it make any difference in this case if I use 'originate always' or leave the 'always' out? Attachment is on post below.

Please find attached detailed diagram explaining the context.

Customer AS = 65001

My question is should I

do:

router ospf 1

redistribute bgp 65001

! How do I know if I do

originate or originate always?

default-information originate

network <...> <...> area 0

Hi Marlon,

"default-information originate" without the always keyword injects a default route into the ospf domain when there is a default route already in the routing table of the injecting router.

"default-information originate always" injects a default route into the ospf domain regardless of presence of a default route in the routing table of the injecting router.
