Hi, can someone clarify if for this specific scenario I should use 'always' when doing default origination?
Does it make any difference in this case if I use 'originate always' or leave the 'always' out? Attachment is on post below.
Please find attached detailed diagram explaining the context.
Customer AS = 65001
My question is should I
do:
router ospf 1
redistribute bgp 65001
! How do I know if I do
originate or originate always?
default-information originate
network <...> <...> area 0

Hi Marlon,
"default-information originate" without the always keyword injects a default route into the ospf domain when there is a default route already in the routing table of the injecting router.
"default-information originate always" injects a default route into the ospf domain regardless of presence of a default route in the routing table of the injecting router.
