Hello Rechard,

if you provide a DNS server to your router it can trace to urls.

conf t

ip name-server ?

A.B.C.D Domain server IP address (maximum of 6)

However, implementing this in an automatic manner is a different matter.

You can try to log what users are trying to access.

Web filtering may require an external box.

Hope to help

Hello Rechard,

what you would like to do?

log internet access of users

apply a web filtering option

traceroute to URLs can be helpful but they are only part of the solution.

Hope to help

If you know the websites that you want to block, and the list is not too big, you can use nbar.

ip cef

class-map match-any DROPSITE

match protocol http url ""

policy-map DROPSITE

interface fastethernet 0/0/0

description LAN INTERFACE

service-policy input DROPSITE

Yuo can even use "*", so for example if you don't want users to visit any website that contains the word "sex" in the url

class-map match-any DROPSITE

match protocol http url "*sex*"
