WIP310 Can still do factory reset even if there is Admin Password

Unanswered Question

Hi,

I just have a query on the WIP310 phone. I am provisioning WIP310 using a config file. I setup an admin password in the config file to lock the GUI and the phone. We do not want our customers to play around and accidentally do factory reset on the WIP310 phone. Admin password locks the GUI which is good but when I try doing factory reset on the phone (Settings>Factory Reset) it does not ask for admin password even if I configured one, it just factory reset the phone straightaway. SPA9x2 phones ask for admin password before it allows factory reset. Is there a setting that needs to be configured other than admin password?

Regards,

Ryan

I have this problem too.

Hi Ryan,

what's the firmware running in the WIP310?

Also, have you tried to set the following parameter to YES in the configuration file?

Protect_IVR_FactoryReset                        "Yes" ;

Thanks!

Hi Nacho,

Firmware of WIP310 is 5.0.11 and I did set Protect_IVR_FactoryReset to "Yes". Is this a bug on the firmware?

Regards,

Ryan
