High Utilization alerts

From time to time I get high utilization alerts on some of my 100mb uplinks. Is there a way within LMS to determine the causes of these alerts? Or is my best method to get a portable sniffer and capture the packets and try and determine this way what the cause is?

Any advice would be appreciated.

That's one way to go about it. A more user-friendly means than a sniffer is using a probe w/ the associated reporting sw. The other alternatives are setting up NetFlow or sFlow on both or at least one end of the links to do the same traffic analysis.
