Copy configuration to TFTP

Hello!

I think most of us back up configuration like this:

copy running-config tftp

server [] 192.168.10.35

name [] bla-bla-bla

And then the PC with running TFTP software accepts the configuration file.

The thing is that if there is a lot of Cisco devices in a network it's kinda annoying to walk through all of them and gather the configuration.

Is there a way to automate that process?

Thanks in advance!

You can use the built-in config archive capabilities of recent IOS to do this. There are also applications such as Rancid (Open Source) and CiscoWorks LAN Management Solution which can periodically collect configurations from Cisco devices.
