No voice on internal calls

Hi All,

I've got two 7940 IP phones connected through a site to site VPN. One phone works perfectly...can call anyone in the office or external numbers without a hitch. When using the other phone, it will connect internally, but you cannot hear anything. If you dial external numbers, it's fine. Dial the internal number as if it's an external number and it connects.

Both of these phones are coming through the same vpn and I've compared the network settings on both...they appear to be the same. I've tried swapping ports, cables, even phone profiles. Nothing seems to change.

Any suggestions? I've tried all I can think of and need a fresh perspective on this one.

Check that you have allowed VoIP traffic through the firewall. Also check that you are using a codec with enough compression to cope with the speed of your VPN.
