I have been asked to look at Cisco WLAN equipment to be used in an outdoor environment.

The first coverage area is a small village with a Church tower in the central location and coverage must go out to about 150m in all directions, it will be fed by a bridge or similar about 2 miles away and then has to provide 2.4ghz coverage to the houses clustered in the 150m zone.

The second area is a housing estate that covers about 1m by 2miles in a kind of rectangular shape and I have access to a tower that is higher than all of the buildings around, I thought mesh might be suitable for this one but if you disagree please feel free to put me on the right track. This one will be fed by a circuit in the tower and again must provide 2.4ghz coverage to the customers in the houses. Also it will provide a bridge link out to a commerical area about 2 miles away.

Any suggestions for equipment and topologies etc etc would be gratefully accepted if the information is too vague please let me know.
