I have a Aironet 1242 LWAP that, out of the box, was requireing a manual command to boot. Looking at the boot configuration: Manual Boot: Yes, is how it is configured. The ap has joined the controller, and loaded the newest code, but is still in manual boot mode. Not a good place for a LWAP. I have tried setting is back to factory defaults, but the manual boot is still there.
How to I get this thing to boot automatically?

Go to configuration mode and use the command no boot manual.
Hope this helps.

Thank you for the reply. Maybe this will work on an AAP, but a LAP does not have a "configuration mode".
Did figure it out though... at AP: prompt where is want you to type boot, enter "unset MANUAL_BOOT yes", then enter "set MANUAL_BOOT no", then enter boot. After a complete boot, power off the ap and restart. It came up without prompting for the boot command.
Thank you though. You folks from Australia and NZ have provided a lot of good hints.
