I get how to configure on a router and what it does. But what does one need on a workstation in order to get the IRDP pakcets and find the router? I dont see it as part of my normal IP stack on my NIC.

Hello James,
it looks like it is disabled by default on recent windows versions.
see the following it shows a registry entry to check
