WCCP - 6500 CPU

rm2017

Level 1

I have redundant 6500 Sup720's in my core and a 4.1.3 Core WAE.

I'm using generic-gre as my return method and have the tunnel interfaces configured on my 6500's.

Everything works fine, but anytime I make a change such as adding ip wccp 61 redirect in to a new VLAN interface - my CPU jumps up to ~100% for about 5 minutes before calming down. It looks like it is always the FM CORE process. I do have a pretty lengthy WCCP Redirect list applied for both 61 and 62.

Should this short term jump in CPU be exptected?

I'm running 12.2(18) so this is more than likely the issue.

Thanks.
