CCNA & CNNP and Recertification

Answered Question
Jul 29th, 2009

Hi, I looking to finish my CCNP off soon.

I passed BSCI and BCMSN in July and Augest 2008.

My problem is that I passed my CCNA in 2002 and did not renew that. So I will now retake this exam this week.

My question is, is there a cut off time I need to finish my CCNP by. I read somewhere I need to complete it in 1 year of the first exam, is that correct?

Thanks

Hi Andy,

No thats not correct. You have 3 years once you pass your first CCNP exam to get the other 3 exams within that timeframe. So you passed BSCI in July 2008 you have until July 2011 to get the other 3 exams but in your case only two.

Hope this helps.
