VIP Ping

Hi,

Is there any way to ping VIP from ACE itself, I can ping the VIP from client and from the servers also by NAT.

I don't think you can....but what's the point anyway ?

If you are on the ACE console, you can check the status of the vip with cli commands like 'show service-policy summary'.

Many thanks for the reply.

Our TACACS+ servers are loadbalancing on ACE. I need to configure the same ACE also in AAA. In that case ACE will try to reach the same ACE for AAA , but its not working..:-(

I hope you got my requirement.

Aslam,

interesting problem.

Traffic from the ACE itself can't be loadbalanced.

For the ACE itself, you should simply configure one of the TACACS server instead of using the vip.
