5508 WLC High Availability

I was reading the data sheet on the 5508 WLCs and was curious about this statement:

"Service Port : 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet (RJ45) For High Availability for future use"

Is this a future design feature so that the 5508s share a common backbone, similar to how HSRP is incorporated?

Thank you for your time.

Service Port is exclusively for out-of-band-management.

I am interested in the part of the sentence that states "High Availability."

I own a pair of these controllers and need to know if in the future I can set them up to take advantage of this feature.

Thanks.

Hi Jack,

Because the 5500 series is so new, I would try this design question in this upcoming "Ask the expert" event;
