hi.
What are the ways available to find out which switch the phone is connected to?
I know the ip address of the IP Phone, I can trace rout to the ip phone IP , but i want to know whether in the ccm , we can find which switch ip phone connected to ?

Hello,
You wouldnt be able to find this info in CCM. However, from the branch router in which the phone is located, you can issue a:
show mac-address-table address [H.H.H] (mac of phone)
The output will most likely point to your ethernet port in which your switch is connected. Telnet to that switch and issue the same command..if the port referenced in the output is connected to another switch..telnet to said switch and issue the command until you can go no further.

HTTP to the Phone:
then go to Network Stattictics>Network.
at the bottom part you can see the switch and the port where this ip phone is connected.

Hi Essa,
It's possible but the phone has to been enabled for web access the device level
after you the webpage
go to:
Ethernet Statistics ---> Network
you will find the
A.) ip address of the Access switch
B.) Domain name of the Acces swicth
C.) Connected Port
Ethernet Statistics ---> Access
you will find the
A.) ip address of the PC
B.) Domain name of the PC
C.) Duplex
This only applies of the phone is connected to PC
