Bulk Edit not changing TUI password correctly

I have Unity 5.0 Build 5.0(1) and bulk edit 4.0 build 115.

When I use the password tab to reset a range of users passwords they are not changed correctly. I have set a users password to a default of 2222 using SA and verified it was correct by logging in via the TUI. I then ran the bulk edit tool and changed this users password to 3333. Now neither password works.

Any suggestions?

Tom,

you might be hitting this defect -

CSCsr02403 Using BulkEdit tool to change password results in blank password

Symptoms:

Password is blank after changing it via BulkEdit tool

Conditions:

This problem may occur in Unity 4.2(1) and Unity 5.0(1).

The issue is fixed in Unity 7.0(2) and later.

Workaround:

You can manually set the password via SAWeb

Or, to use Bulk Edit but avoid the defect, perform the following before running Bulk Edit.

Open a command prompt (DOS) and go to \CommServer\components

The type in the following commands;

Regsvr32 /u BabelSvr.dll

Regsvr32 BabelSvr.dll
