Plz Help in VPN C

Hello

I Have Connected the RS Straight Through cable with 2 DB 9 Female to both end PC/Console and VPN Concentrator 3005 with the following settings as described in cisco document â€¦.I've attached image for cables that I use

â€¢ Bits per sec: 9600

â€¢ Data bits: 8

â€¢ Parity: none

â€¢ Stop bits: 1

â€¢ Flow control: Hardware

But the nothing appears on the console even the garbage not exist either

What's the Problem? How can I overcome on this issue

Are the DB9s real RS232 ? if so fine, is the cable straight through CAT5 ? perhaps try another cat5 cable, if cable is fine then next would be are you usign correct COM1 or whatever COM port the system is using? have you try using

another system ?

Hello

I would check the 2 DB9s are from Cisco. If the RS cable still not work, try with the straight-through RJ-45 Ethernet cable.
