Power up an 1142 help

Unanswered Question

I have been playing with this now for a while. I have decided on 1142 to deploy to my state office locations. NO PoE switches. I ordered the 1142 with the power pack and the AIR-PWRINJ3

Now the test. I plug the power directly into the AP and it powers up as expected.

I setup the power injector and verify the connection points and power up the supply. NOTHING happens. I swapped out the injector since I knew the power pack itself would power the AP. No good after 4 injectors.

I pulled a power injector for a 1252 and it powered the 1142 no problem.

what an I missing here. This is suppose to be a standard PoE power device.

I have this problem too.

It appears that my CCO access doesnt let me see this link.

This is puzzling since the 1142 is suppose to be standard PoE unlike the 1252. but you are telling me to use the 1252 power supply (J4). Yet I can use a standard power supply directly connected to the AP and it works.

I very much would like to see the Documentation in that link.

If you:

- Bring up the AP with local power

- Let it join a controller

- Configure (via the controller) the AP such that CDP is off and you check the "Power Injector State" box

- Reconnect everything such that the AP is connected to/powered by the PWRINJ3

Will the AP power up?
