Hello Folks, I want to know how to receive notifications services with the device's names instead IP address in the fields Managed Object in notifications like this:
EVENT ID = 0000531
ALERT ID = 00000S0
TIME = Mon 03-Aug-2009 13:05:36 CST
STATUS = Active
SEVERITY = Critical
MANAGED OBJECT = 1.1.1.1
MANAGED OBJECT TYPE = Routers
EVENT DESCRIPTION =

You may just need to wait. When the device enters a Known state in DFM, then it should show up in the Notification Groups device selector.

You need to make sure the device is managed by hostname in DFM. To do this, you may need to add an entry to the server's local hosts file for the device in question. For example:
1.1.1.1 myrouter.company.com
Then, delete the device from DFM, and re-add it. It should then show up in the DFM device selectors as myrouter.company.com. Then all your notifications will have that hostname as the managed object name.

Yes, it works, its appears in the discovery with its name, now the problem is that I do not seem it listed in the notification Groups panel. Do I need to do something more?
