Configure Spam Block as a POP3 connector

Dear sir,

Can Cisco AntiSpam Block can be configured to retrieve message from external POP3 account, then redirected to internal email server ? As some firewall can perform SPAM filtering during email server POP3 Connector to retreive external message.

Currently, customer is using firewall as a SPAM filtering, if this feature is disabled by deploying Cisco AntiSpam Blocker, how to avoid this problem?

Hi Joe,

sadly the CSVB doe snot prvide any pop3/spop/imap/simap features for customers.

The csvb is designed as a perimiter MTA and nothing else. Messages need to be relayed onto a device with these types of features. To achieve this i'd suggest you swap IP addresses or change MX records so that spam hits the CSVB then passes it onto the firewall.
