Hi Guys,

We planning in deploying QOS in our network and due to the size of our network we are planning to buy the QPM module for Cscoworks. But initilally i need to make some notes of the advantages of it to my team leader. Did anyone use it, if so can you help me in its advantages and it faults please.

After trying the HUM trial version on our LMS 3.2, We are interested in buying it but we are not sure whether to go for both QPM and HUM. As both monitor the ports for traffic.

Can any one help me from this confusion?

Thanks in advance.

Regards;

Rams

CiscoWorks Health and Utilization Monitor (HUM):is an application that monitors network elements (such as CPU, memory, interfaces/ports, and links) via SNMP for their availability and utilization levels and provides historical reporting.

Cisco Quality of Service Policy Manager (QPM) is designed to provision QoS for voice, video, and data networks and has many useful features to facilitate scaling. QPM also provides QOS monitoring, not global SNMP monitoring as HuM.
