After reloading the switchs falls into

rommon mode; after booting manually from rommon an typing

sh bootvar

i get the following output

BOOT variable = disk1:s72033-advipservicesk9_wan-mz.122-33.SXH3.bin,12;disk1:s72033-advipservicesk9_wan-vz.122-33.SXH3.bin,12;sup-bootdisk:/newsys/s72033/base/s72033-advipservicesk9_wan-vm,12;

CONFIG_FILE variable =

BOOTLDR variable =

Configuration register is 0x2102

THE NEW bootentry in running and startup

router(config)#no boot sys

router(config)#boot sys disk1:image_name

no boot sys will clear all the previous entry for the image names and then just add the one you want to boot with.

Thanks for your reply;

I have cleared the bootvariables before

reload; nevertheless the old bootvar

appears again after my manual reload

from rommon. Sigh!

Are you sure the file is on sup-bootflash?

That media is usually small and it wouldn't fit a large file such as the one from SXH5.

Can you post the directory structure from sup-bootflash along with disk1 with the command:

dir sup-bootflash:

dir disk1:

If the file isn't there, that's the reason is failing.

HTH,

Edison.

I have a WS-C-UPG-1GB= installed

in my sub720. Verify on my new system

image file stored on this medium results

in an ok state.
