The version is 4.1.190.5. The AP's model is AIR-LAP1522PC-A-K9 and the controller is AIR-WLC2106-K9.

First of all make sure that the APs can communicate and get IP address from DHCP server (it might be an external DHCP or internal pool running on WLC).


Are your APs on the same subnet as controller?

Yes, the AP and controller are in the same subnet. The AP got the address from a external DHCP.

The error that the controller gave me is like follow:

LWAPP-3-DECODE_ERR: Error decoding discovery request from AP.
