4510R-E /w Sup 6-E PBR

Hello,

Can anyone explain how PBR works on the Sup 6-E? I'm able to create a route-map with match and set conditions, however I can't apply it to an SVI or other L3 interface (ip policy route-map ...)

Can't seem to find any more online doc with any substance on this issue.

Here is an excerpt from the config guide:

The Catalyst 4500 Supervisor Engine 6-E supports matching route-map actions with a packet by installing entries in the TCAM that match the set of packets described by the ACLs in the match criteria of the route map. These TCAM entries point at adjacencies that either perform the necessary output actions or forward the packet to software if either hardware does not support the action or its resources are exhausted.

You need 12.2(52)SG or later for PBR support on Sup6-E.

It's listed in the IOS Release Notes:

Thanks Edison. 12.2(52)SG has PBR enabled.

I'm finding a lot of these small things that are missing for the Sup 6-E, but that's what ISSU is for!

Yes, Sup6-E has its issues :) Thanks for the rating.
