can anyone supply a simple configuration between cisco 6509 and sidewinder firewall?
please include ip address samples, and interfaces.

Not really sure what you are expecting here.
I presume you will want to assign your firewall to the vlan you want it to monitor traffic and then have the firewall to listen to it.
There is no really specific configuration for this on the cat6k, it seems to me to be a design question you have here.

I think the issue has been resolved.
If I'm not mistaken, cisco 6509 can only have one ip default-route configuration.
After setting the static routes on the firewall to this ip default-route, all the vlans started to communicate out to the internet.
The only concern I have is to secure the vlans, and subnets.
