logbackup.pl and logrot.pl

Answered Question

I was trying to run one of these to help with log managment. But all I get when executing them is that the actual script opens in note pad.

Any help much appreciated.

You need to go to NMSROOT\bin on the CLI and type perl logbackup.pl or perl logrot.pl.

NMSROOT is the directory path where LMS is installed for example: C:\Progra~1\CSCOpx\

On Windows, enter "NMSROOT\bin\perl.exe NMSROOT\bin\logrot.pl -c" to configure logrot, where NMS is your custom LMS installation base path.
