LMS 3.1 Windows - Installation Problem

I am having problem to run the installation. After insert in DVD media, the installation windows pop up. When I click on "install" , after a while error message pop up.

I dont know why what what the message mean.

I also check on Windows event log... it complaint about CD problem with paging error.

It sounds to me that your DVD media got damaged. You may contact TAC to get a replacement.

I suspect the DVD drive problem. I try in my home PC, the installation can be run properly.

I would give a try to copy the DVD contents to my USB HDD, then transfer installation files/directory to server via this USB external drive.

Question is can installation really run from local HDD.

Yes, but you need to do the installation from a patch which meets local DOS 8.3 filename convention. For example, if you install from C:\LMSDVD, that should be fine.
