Hi.

Can someone explain what this alert mean? what actions should be taken? what should be done to prevent this from happening?

There is packet drop happening on g0/0 interface link.

It may not something to be much worried if it's not happening all the time.


You can increase the threshold values if you don't want to be bothered by this:

DFM > Configuration >Polling and Thresholds > Managing Thresholds. Here you can choose from the default groups, and look for the group where you got the HighQueueDropRate from, if it is, for example, a 10-100 Megabit ethernet interface, then you should go to Interface Groups, 10MB-100MB Ethernet group, and click EDIT.


Here you can change the percentage of the thresholds (increase them).


Then click to SAVE and OK, and than you still have to click APPLY CHANGES on the left side in :Configuration > Polling and Thresholds
