Hi,

I have two remote networks connected via fiber link provided by the servvice provider.

the WAN devices is 3750 switches, so fiber link that is comming from the provider is terminated on 3750.

my contract with the provider is 500Mbps as a bandwidth.

i want to check the specifications of the link like the bandwidth, delay, jitter.

i tried to use iperf but it seems that it is not good for high bandwidth like 500M.

do you now any tool or procedure to test the specifications of the link

Thanks

Anas

IPerf shouldn't have a problem with 500MB. You could also try TTCP-

Thnanks,

have you used iperf before to test bandwidth of more than 100M, should i change the options or just the use the default,

Thanks and regard

is the IPSLA good to test the available bandwidth and the performance of the line?

IPSLA can do a good job with jitter, but it does not do bandwidth testing. I have never used IPerf over 100MB, but I have heard of people testing 10G with it.
