hardware setup is as follows:
2 x UCME (SystemA and SystemB) with a single PRI connected to SystemA. SystemB will be new to the environment
SystemA and SystemB can exist on the same VLAN's if necessary, or they can be entirely separate VLAN's with routing between them.
SystemA uses all Cisco IP Phones, and SystemB uses Cisco IP Communicator exclusively
I would like to use the PRI that currently runs SystemA, and use it for SystemB.
As I think through this, I haven't come up with a reason why it shouldn't work. SystemB can have 1 inbound dial-peer for all incoming calls that come from SystemA, and 1 outbound dial-peer that sends all calls to SystemA via SIP
SystemA would have specific voip dial-peers for matches inbound phone numbers to send the appropriate numbers over SIP to SystemB.
Am I missing anything? Do I gain any benefits by moving the PRI out of SystemA and do a dedicated voice gateway (requires buying another router)?
