Hi all
How come when transferring a file using nfs over my wan, it does not use the full bandwidth? how come it only uses half ?

How do you measure that it's half?
The cisco devices do not have by default any limitation factor as far as how much bw will be used, they send all what the link can handle.
If you have QoS policies on the router that is one thing, but you probably dont.
What I suspect, in case you have a higher BW for other file transfers on the same link, that your ISP is actually doing QoS and limiting you.

Not enough details to be sure, but if the receiving host's TCP RWIN isn't properly sized, TCP transfers won't utilize all the bandwidth (for an individual flow).
