Hi all

How come when transferring a file using nfs over my wan, it does not use the full bandwidth? how come it only uses half ?

I have this problem too.

It seems you have posted this question twice.

The NFS is by itself an application layer protocol and there may be various "knobs" for tuning its performance. It can run over TCP or UDP, for instance, and you can change the read/write block size. Personally, I would try going with UDP as the transport protocol and setting the block size to at least 8192 bytes (you can try increasing it further).

But there can also be many other factors influencing your NFS throughput... without knowing your network in more detail, it is hard to tell any definitive solution.

Best regards,
