Cisco IP Phone 7945 Speaker Phone Distortion

Hello all,

Our new 7945s are having distortion issues when you talk through speaker phone the issue happens on some of the new phones too which would lead me to believe it is a software issue. The Ethernet cables have been replaced to check line integrity and we have reset the phone and tweaked around with the software profile with no success. Anyone have any insight on how I could fix this?

Thanks in advance.

Yep; update the firmware. The 79x5 firmware had several audio distortion bugs in early releases. We've covered this on the forum several times already.
