New Circuit Installation Query

Hi,

I'm about to order a new 100 Mbit Circuit from Verizon or Yipes or Colt for Stock Trading purposes. My question is to people who have a lot of experience with installing a new circuit. I'd like to know what are the typical questions you ask the carrier that help you come to a conclusion as to which carrier to go forward with.

The only question I have asked is

1) What are the latency timings between end points A and B.

Any others to ask and what should I query the most. e.g Jitter.

I ask:-

1) Core network, SDH, MPLS etc

2) Physical presentation, Fibre, RJ45

3) COST!

4) Will the circuit be layer 2 or layer 3

You wont get much in latency timings from a carrier. Too much application dependency.
