What are the Supervisor TxQueues on a 3750 switch?

The output to the "show platform port-asic stats drop" command shows drops statistics for 16 supervisor txqueues:

Supervisor TxQueue Drop Statistics

Queue 0: 0

Queue 1: 0

Queue 2: 0

Queue 3: 0

Queue 4: 0

Queue 5: 0

Queue 6: 0

Queue 7: 0

Queue 8: 0

Queue 9: 0

Queue 10: 0

Queue 11: 0

Queue 12: 0

Queue 13: 0

Queue 14: 0

Queue 15: 0

What are these queues and what is the significance of drops in any of these queues? On some of our switch stacks queue 3 and queue 8 have some drops.

"show controllers cpu-interface" gives the names of the queues.

For example Queue 0 is used for RPC, Queue1 is used for STP and so on..

Here is the relevant output of the command :

cpu-queue-frames retrieved dropped invalid hol-block

----------------- ---------- ---------- ---------- ----------

rpc 0 0 0 0

stp 0 0 0 0

ipc 0 0 0 0

routing protocol 0 0 0 0

L2 protocol 0 0 0 0

remote console 0 0 0 0

sw forwarding 0 0 0 0

host 0 0 0 0

broadcast 0 0 0 0

cbt-to-spt 0 0 0 0

igmp snooping 0 0 0 0

icmp 0 0 0 0

logging 0 0 0 0

rpf-fail 0 0 0 0

queue14 0 0 0 0

cpu heartbeat 0 0 0 0

How or when are these queues used? Where is traffic coming from or going to when it passes through these queues?
