ATT gateway & 851 DHCP issues

I have an 851 that i need to configure to work with an ATT gateway. I have the WAN ported set up to receive DHCP from the ATT GW but it is not receiving the IP. I have the int that it is connected to set to DMZ mode. The gateway states that the 851 is set with the public IP assigned via DHCP, yet the 851 has not been assigned an IP. Ran a debug and got the following.

%Unknown DHCP problem.. No allocation possible

*Feb 28 20:58:26: DHCP: Waiting for 60 seconds on interface FastEthernet4

*Feb 28 20:58:56: DHCP: deleting entry 82E64C64 0.0.0.0 from list

*Feb 28 20:59:26: DHCP: Try 14 to acquire address for FastEthernet4

*Feb 28 20:59:26: DHCP: allocate request

*Feb 28 20:59:26: DHCP: new entry. add to queue, interface FastEthernet4

*Feb 28 20:59:26: DHCP: SDiscover attempt # 1 for entry:

*Feb 28 20:59:26: DHCP: SDiscover: sending 298 byte length DHCP packet

*Feb 28 20:59:26: DHCP: SDiscover 298 bytes

*Feb 28 20:59:26: B'cast on FastEthernet4 interface from 0.0.0.0

*Feb 28 20:59:29: DHCP: SDiscover attempt # 2 for entry:

*Feb 28 20:59:29: DHCP: SDiscover: sending 298 byte length DHCP packet

*Feb 28 20:59:29: DHCP: SDiscover 298 bytes

*Feb 28 20:59:29: B'cast on FastEthernet4 interface from 0.0.0.0

*Feb 28 20:59:33: DHCP: SDiscover attempt # 3 for entry:

*Feb 28 20:59:33: DHCP: SDiscover: sending 298 byte length DHCP packet

*Feb 28 20:59:33: DHCP: SDiscover 298 bytes

*Feb 28 20:59:33: B'cast on FastEthernet4 interface from 0.0.0.0%Unknown DHCP problem.. No allocation possible

*Feb 28 20:59:47: DHCP: Waiting for 60 seconds on interface FastEthernet4

Has anyone run into this problem?

I have also tried attaching a firewall (Pfsense) to the ATT gateway and the same problem with DHCP exists.

Thoughts?

Complain to ATT, you've already tried two devices and not getting an address, that should be enough.

Tried that, they don't support Router behind router. However they will send out a tech (connect tech) that will charge $99 for their services. I was hoping that someone has run into this problem here.

Don't say you have a router, say you have a PC. Of course the PC must exhibit the same problem. They cannot charge if it's not working in their supported configuration.

Then when you want things properly done, get an 877 so you can get rid of that cheap modem/router.
