Thanks

My understanding, any of the 3750 series can be stacked. (i.e. yes)

If there is an IOS mismatch on the switches forming the stack, then the stack formation will be unsuccessful.

And I think 3750E switch will not form stack with a 3750 switch bcoz of IOS and Hardware mismatch.

Although 3750PS and 3750TS are from the same model, but 3750PS has PoE and hence differ slightly in Hardware, will they form a stack (even with same IOS)?

Jenny

You can mix 3750E and 3750 switches in a stack but you will then fall back to Stackwise rather than Stackwise plus.

You are correct in that the IOS must match on all members of the stack.

As Joseph has already said all 3750 switch types will stack with each other.

Thanks Jon,

The White paper was very informational.

Nice to know that 3750E can be stacked with 3750. Even though it did not mention whether 3750PS can be stacked with 3750TS, it does give good hope that it should work.
