We're looking to use DSL routers as a backup to leased lines. We've a problem that the static routes passed to the DSL head end router by RADIUS are over-riding the leased line routes learnt via BGP.
How can these RADIUS routes be demoted to a lower AD number?

Hello Mark,
an alternate way to achieve this if your addressing plan allows this is to have BGP that provides more specific routes and radius generated static routes to be less specific this should work.
AD is considered only for comparable routes but most specific route wins regardless of AD.
Hope to help

Unfortunately this would be very laborious to implement and so in our case is not workable. Thanks for the thought.
