Getting tons of CiscoUnity BMsgConnetor errors

Unanswered Question

Although it does not appear to affect Unity, unless a broadcast phone message failed (we have not been using that feature)-it is troubling to get so many of these.

Cisco Unity link has no information on SourceUnity_BMsgConnec, Event ID 10005, but the message does say to examine mail store and see if mailbox does exist and functioning.

Does anyone know what this mail store is. This has been happening for some time.

Any ideas? Thanks, Jim

It's not a mailstore but a mailbox.

Here's a link that describe the function

of broadcast message -

Couple of things you can do to eliminate the error.

1. Disable the BMsgConnector service from service.msc

2. If you do not want to stop that service, open ADUCS and see if the account is present in the form of

USbms_ user with a valid mailbox. If not, create the account. It's most likely reside on the same place as the Unity_servername account.
