Hi, i've read that phones 7920 are not officially supported by AIR-LAP1252. But, are they supported when you work with autonomus 1252?
Thanks!

No the 7920 is not supported on the AP1250 platform in either Unified (lwapp/capwap) or autonomous mode.
There are some TKIP interop issues there.
Also no new APs were qualified after end of sale of the 7920 back in 2007.
The 7921/7925 are supported on the AP1250 platform.

Not sure if we supported the AP340, that us a pretty old platform.
Also a typo there, where the lightweight ap should say 1000 series not 1100. Also 1240 should be added to the supported list.

Does anyone know if the 7920 will actually work with a 1252? I'm about to deploy a 4400 with 1140's and 1252's running 6.0.182.0 code. This is an upgrade where the site is currently using autnomous 1231's (the 1231's are being replaced with the new AP's). The site currently has a few 7920 handsets that they would like to use. It's not crucial that they work, but I don't want to spend a few hours banging my head against the wall trying to make these things work.

See my comments above.
The 7920 is not supported on the 1140 & 1250 ap platforms.
Recommend the customer to migrate to the 7921 or 7925, where the 1140 & 1250 series aps are supported.

Thanks - I figured "not supported" meant "some configurations might work, but might not, and Cisco will not provide support either way". Since the client is not using TKIP, I figured the phones might work, but that we would get no support from Cisco. The client is prepared to purchase new handsets, but is OK with using their current ones in an unsupported configuration for a little while longer.
