Solved: WLC 5508 Licensing

Hi to all,

I've a question which none of the WLC5508's docs CCO explain... Could you upgrade via SW the numer of the AP supported on the WLC5508...for example from 25 to 50 via SW o license instead of substituting the entire appliance?

Hi Omar,

This "licensing" aspect is one of many enhancements with the 5508 series :) So you won't have to replace the Controller when you need to upgrade the number of supported AP's.

The 5500 Series offers upgrade licenses so that additional access point support and software features can be added as your wireless network evolves.
