We need to configure some DN on the CUCM to "call" a group of phones. These phones has to activate the speaker so the message can be heared from all interested user.

To be more direct I will wrote an expample:

- DN 801 will activate speakers on Phone1, Phone2, Phone3

- DN 802 will activate speakers on

Phone4, Phone5, Phone6

- DN 803 will activate speakers on

Phone7,Phone8,Phone9,Phone10

- DN 804 will activate speakers on

Phon11,Phone12

and so on..,

- DN 810 will activate phones from 1 to 6

- DN 811 will activate phones from 7 to 12

...

- DN 820 will activate all phones.

Further, we have to consider that a "phone" is an analogical connection to

to the depot's loudspeakers.

Many thanks for any help and suggestions.

A.

P.S.

Phones are CP7911G, CP7942G and CP7962G

It seems that you need paging feature which is not directly supported by CCM, yet it could be implemented with help of third-party solutions, like this one: http://www.singlewire.com/informacast.html

Another document http://www.cisco.com/en/US/customer/tech/tk652/tk653/technologies_configuration_example09186a008015094e.shtml could be useful in terms of integration with external analogue paging systems.

Also if its a Paging solution that you are looking forward for, Berbee is one solution we are using presently.

Just my 2 cents.

Many thanks for suggestions.

I look at InformaCast and Barbee (are the same thing due to barbee acquisitions).

Your information clarify that here is not support for paging on a group of phones.

But there is a chance for the loudspakers?

At the moment they are connected to analog ports on the old Siemens PBX?

Thought ATA or FXS ports?

Many thanks.

There is a chance for loud speakers, but it depends on the implementation you are seeking.

One successful implementation, for single-zone paging, is as follows:

1) Bogen UTI1 connected to fxs port on gateway via its station port

2a) self-amplified speaker(s) connected to tip and ring on UTI. If multiple speakers connected (each home-running to the IDF) speakers would terminate on 66 block and a 2-wire jumper would provide connectivity between uti and speakers.

- or -

2b) amplified speakers connected to amp (bogen TPU100) via 70 ohms connection (right side of amp). Jumpered to UTI via middle Tip and Ring (on left side of amp)

3) paging DN configured for fxs port connected to UTI1.

4) paging partition (to seperate from ONNET and provide granularity with respects to who can access). (If greater control is desired, Forced Authorization Codes could be used so that people cannot just jump on a phone that has been enabled for paging (they would have to use a code).

This is what we run in our environment. If you require further details, I would be happy to assist.
