Good morning,
I recall using syntax to enable ping on a source interface, syntax is below. Unfortunately I have something hosed. I see this form of syntax for sla configuration only. I recall using this syntax (or simular) to correct problem with ping from local and remote locations.
ip icmp source-interface fastethernet0/0
Syntax was not used in sla configuration.
Thanks.

Hello Tim,
I am sorry but I haven't heard of a command that would allow you to set the source address for ICMP echo packets globally. The only way to set the source IP address in the pings I know of is in the ping command itself, i.e.:
ping 1.2.3.4 source fa0/0
Is this what you are looking for?
Best regards,
Peter

Im with peter on this one. I am only aware of ip sla operation and what peter mentioned, sourcing with the ping command.
